The staff of the VHS Yearbook produces the yearbook that is distributed at the end of each school year. There are between 25 and 30 staff members who do everything; take photos, interview people, design layouts, write copy, etc. Each year a new theme is chosen by the staff and artists from the publisher create a book cover for that theme.

The purpose of the group is to produce a record of the school year in the form of a yearbook.

The yearbook staff meet every school day in yearbook class, room 35. There is also work that is done outside of class (before or after school, at lunch and on weekends.)  Anyone wishing to be on yearbook staff must apply in the year previous and be accepted to be a staff member. Applications are usually distributed in February or March. Check for the announcement in the bulletin.

Editors-in-Chief for 2005-06 are Gaby Ruiz and Viviana Herrera.

The advisor is Ms. Anthony.

Yearbook Prices are:

• $55 for the book until Nov. 4, 2005
• $60 for the book, name plate and autograph pages until Nov. 4, 2005 (this deal is not offered after Nov. 4)
• $60 for the book from Nov. 7 through Dec. 16, 2005
• $65 for the book from Dec. 19, 2005 through April 28, 2006
• Books will not be available after April 28 until distribution in June 2006.

Payment may be made with cash, check or money order through April. We are not able to take credit cards. On distribution day books will be sold for cash only.

Seniors must have their photos take at Hoenig Photography. This is free and no other photos will be accepted for the senior pictures section. Seniors are not obligated to purchase their senior portraits from Hoenig.

Underclass photos will be taken at Vaca High by Herff-Jones during the month of September.

Photos and words for Senior Pages must be submitted by Nov. 4, 2005. They will appear in black and white. The yearbook staff will design the layout and type parents' words. Parents may submit as many photos as they want, but the more photos, the smaller the photos will appear in the book.

Prices for Senior Pages are:
$180 for a full page
$100 for a half page
$65 for a quarter page
$40 for and eighth page

Payment should be enclosed with words and pictures but must be received by the end of the school year.
