Valero Benicia Refinery Donates to VPEF |

(Vacaville, CA) At a reception held at the Valero Benicia Refinery, the Vacaville Public Education Foundation was awarded with a $15,000 life size check. Math and science programs, grades K – 12, will be enhanced through VPEF’s mini-grant process. “We are honored that Valero would choose VPEF to contribute to,” says Jamie Hearn, VPEF Board Member. “With their donation we hope to enhance and enrich the public education of Vacaville through Math and Science Mini-Grants’. VPEF is currently accepting mini-grant applications and the deadline is March 28th. To download an application or for more information visit: www.vpef.org. Valero will be added to VPEF’s 16 Billboards that hang in front of all the Vacaville Public School sites. The Frank H. & Eva B. Buck Foundation, ALZA Corp., Solano Construction Company, The Kivelstadt Group, Soroptomist International of Vacaville, and Shea McGuire & Tom McGuire will also be added to the billboard for their 06/07 donations. Founded in 2003, the Vacaville Public Education Foundation has raised more than $1.4 Million to improve public education in Vacaville.
