Green Valley Women Golfers Board Meeting Minutes
August 5, 2008

Members in attendance: Julie Osborn, Cindy Hamilton, Diane Kelly, Joanna Chew, Marilyn Walker, Sharon Murray, Sue Shively, Sarah Johnson, Itsuko Moridaira, Loretta McInnis, Di Thompson

Meeting was called to order at 7:15 a.m. by Julie.

The minutes of the last board meeting were read and approved.

New Business:
It was moved and seconded to host a Home and Home with Yolo, Silverado, and El Macero at Green Valley on October 28, 2008.

Committee Reports:
Shinae Wegener won the Ace of Aces Tournament
The Oct. 3rd board meeting will be moved to Sept. 30.

30 days prior to the Oct. General meeting there should be a slate of officers in place.
On the Oct. meeting agenda, the bi-laws may need to be addressed.

Sarah Johnson and Julie Osborn updated the committee on the invitational raffle prizes. There was some discussion regarding a “legitimate” practice round for the Wednesday prior to the invitational. Does there need to be a petition and submit it to the golf committee?

Pam Angen sent her update for our golf committee liason position. Items discussed at the meeting included the tree on #4, tree on #6, and moving our bench back under the oak tree on #5. Her update will be posted in the ladies’ locker room.

EBTP still happening.
NBTP is finished with no top three finishes for Green Valley this year.
Futures is still playing their matches.

Lorraine King gave an update on the Open Days.

Loretta McInnis reported there were 63 players for July’s guest day.

The September guest day you may invite up to three guests per member.

Sharon Murray has information for the upcoming club championship

A reminder that it is possible to fax the information in to the newspapers regarding our events.
